PRINCIPAL AND DESIGN ARCHITECT
Tony Legge
Located directly on Little Manly Beach, with sweeping southern views across Sydney Harbour, this new residence replaces a circa-1940s flat building with a refined family retreat. Its inspiration point is the timeless architecture of Long Island’s coastal homes.

Drawing from the classic forms and materials of traditional East Coast beach houses, the design balances familiarity and sophistication. Integral to this continuity is the stonework, salvaged from the original building and reimagined in the new structure, bringing texture, history and a deep sense of place to the home.
Designed for a young family with two children (and a third born during construction), every element was considered to support the evolving needs of its owners, while creating a calm, cohesive aesthetic. Light-filled interiors, durable natural materials and seamless connections between indoors and out create a relaxed rhythm of living tailored to beachside life.
